Children of RAF Brize Norton personnel benefitted from a huge range of events organised by Community Support, Airplay and RAFA Kidz this summer.
Thanks to support from volunteers across the Station and funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and RAF Benevolent Fund, the team organised 25 days of free or low cost activities during the holidays which has benefited over 300 families across the Whole Force.
Jess Price, Community Development Officer, said:
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve managed to achieve for and with Service Personnel and their families this year. The logistics of childcare over the summer school holidays puts a huge financial and logistical pressure on our families so we’re incredibly thankful to our funders for supporting us to take the pressure off. Most importantly, we’ve had over 300 children and young people have enormous amount of fun thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of our staff and amazing volunteers from across the Station!”
