Childcare
The Dandelions Day Nursery & Kids Club is in Tattershall. The nursery takes children from six weeks to five years old. The breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs take children up to the age of 13.
Housing
If you need help to find a house when you move to the station or if you have any problems with your housing, you can get support from the Service Community Support Officer (SCSO).

Family contact and temporary accommodation
There are two flats and a two houses RAF personnel can use for:
- emergency family accommodation
- visits from children of divorced or separated personnel
- weekend and school holiday visits from family members like parents or grandparents
- temporary accommodation when you’re moving into or out of permanent service families accommodation
The two and three bedroom flats are on the station. The two and three bedroom houses are outside the station.
Only RAF personnel can make bookings.

Health and welfare
Medical centre
The medical centre is for RAF personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local GP.
Dental centre
The dental centre is for RAF personnel only.
Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA)
SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF (PS&SWS RAF) is contracted by the RAF to provide welfare support to all serving personnel (regular and reserves) and their families. Our team of specialist Personal & Family Support Workers and Social Workers are located on stations in the RAF community throughout the UK.
Our service is confidential and independent from the Chain of Command. It is the aim of our service to support you to enhance personal welfare, maintain family stability and empower you to access the support networks you are entitled to.
Our service can support you with a range of issues including addiction & dependency, child support, financial, housing, mental health, personal support, physical health and relationships.
Anyone, regular, reserve or dependent, can refer themselves to SSAFA. You can contact our service by any of the ways below;

Dependants of RAF personnel can attend services but will need to apply for RAF ID to go to services unaccompanied by RAF personnel.
Sports
Station gym
The gym has a fitness suite and classes.
You can join the station gym if you are a dependant of a member of RAF personnel but you'll need to apply for RAF ID if you want to use the gym and sports facilities unaccompanied by RAF personnel.

RAF Coningsby Golf Club membership is available to service personnel and civilians.

The Community Centre is the home of Airplay Youth activities.

Bars and cafés
The bars and cafés on the Station are open to dependants of RAF personnel. You'll need to apply for RAF ID if you want to use them unaccompanied by RAF personnel.
Heroes Bar
Heroes Bar on the Station is open Monday to Friday. It opens at the weekends to show live sport.
The Typhoon Bar is part of Heroes Bar. You can can book it for private functions.

- Wednesday, 8:30am to 3:30pm and 4pm to midnight
- Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm and 6pm to 10pm

Costa can be found inside Heroes Bar.

Winky's Bar
Winky's Bar on the Station is only open to the families of RAF personnel for special family functions.
Children and young people
Children and young people’s activities and clubs on the station are run by Airplay.
Other facilities
Thrift Shop
The RAF Coningsby Thrift Shop is part of the local community and is run by local volunteers. Anyone wishing to buy or sell clothing, toys and household items can do so through the Thrift Shop with 80% of the sale price being kept by the seller and the remaining 20% going to our chosen charities.
The Thrift Shop is open:
Tuesday, 9:30am to 12pm and 6pm to 8pm
Thursday, 9:30am to 12pm.
Times may vary due to school holidays or availability of staff.

Costcutter grocery shop on the Station is open to spouses and partners of RAF personnel who have RAF ID.
