The Acorn Childcare Centre is situated on MOD land, but not within the Cosford Military base.
The nursery caters for children between 3 months and 4 years, 11 months.

A Contact House is a property that is available for all Service personnel across the three Services who have a requirement for short term accommodation.

Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA)
If you are the spouse or partner of RAF personnel, SSAFA volunteers can give you advice and help on things like: bereavement, finances, housing, relationships, and mental health.
SSAFA works with Royal Air Force Community Support.

Chaplains
There is a team of Chaplains available to offer pastoral support and a listening ear to all who live and work at RAF Cosford, as well as arranging baptisms and weddings.
The Chaplains also provide a teaching input to training at Cosford in the form of the Beliefs and Values Programme.
The Chaplaincy Centre is next to the Families Club and the HIVE, and is available to anybody wanting a quiet place to pray, think or simply be.

Sports
Station gym
The RAF School of Physical Training is situated at RAF Cosford with excellent facilities including its own swimming pool.
The gym has an extensive cardio-vascular and resistance training facility known as the Arena. The Arena is equipped with running, cycle, rowing machines, free weights and a vast array of other exercise equipment.
Dependants of RAF personnel can join the gym for a fee of £38.85 per annum (paid into accounts Wed 1000-1200) and attendance of a gym induction (1030 Mon, Wed, Fri)

Sports pitches and courts
Contact the gym to find out about other sports facilities including, all-weather hockey and football pitches, the indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and two large gymnasia for all indoor activities.

The RAF Cosford Community Hub has regular activities including pre-school activities and youth clubs. You can also hire the Cosford Community Playhouse for parties.

The all ranks / Junior ranks Lounge social area is situated in the Cosford Village, it is open Monday-Friday and provides a wide range of services as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The bar has screens, BT Sports and Sky Sports a E Gaming room and free Wi-Fi.
A friendly atmosphere for friends and family with entertainment evenings ranging from kids’ discos, BBQs, quiz nights, live music and many more.
The Oak and Apprentice can be booked for events such as leaving parties, buffets, and meeting.

The Community store on the station is situated within the Cosford Village. The store has a selection of juice, yogurt milkshake and iced coffee machines, alongside extensive selections of protein products, a Free-from-Allergy range, plant-based healthy snacks and self-serve checkouts to aid speed of service.
