The graduating class, who began their journey in April, completed an intensive training programme spanning six weekends and a two-week continuous period. The course, delivered under franchise from the Defence School of Policing and Guarding at Southwick Park, Portsmouth, equips reservists with essential law enforcement skills and culminates in both written examinations and practical scenario-based assessments.

Your hard work, perseverance, and dedication have brought you to this moment. Carry forward the legacy of those who came before you and inspire those who follow.

Commander Smith, Deputy Provost Marshal (RAF) and Chief of Staff of the Air Security Force, led the newly qualified officers in taking their RAF Police Oath. The graduates will now join various reserve squadrons including 614 Squadron, 2503 Squadron, and 2622 Squadron.

The ceremony also provided an opportune moment for special recognition, as Air Vice Marshal Ranald Munro presented the No. 3 RAF Police (Reserve) Squadron Training Team with their Director Reserves Team Commendation, awarded in the King's Birthday Honours List 2024. Flight Lieutenant Hymers was also honoured, receiving both his Volunteer Reserve Service Medal and RAF .

In a first for the squadron, the graduation ceremony doubled as an employer engagement event, welcoming members of the East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadet Association alongside local employers. This innovative approach provided a valuable opportunity for civilian employers to interact with both regular and reserve RAF Police personnel, fostering stronger ties between the military and local business community.

The successful completion of the RAF Police Reserve Phase 2 training qualifies these officers to carry RAF Police Warrant Cards, marking their readiness to serve in law enforcement roles across the Royal Air Force Reserve.
