Deployed RAF Lossiemouth Personnel Not Forgotten At Christmas

RAF Lossiemouth personnel who will be deployed over Christmas will receive a traditional ‘Christmas goodie bag’ from their colleagues again this year.

Filled with gifts, toiletries, and sweets, as well as a Christmas card from the Station Commander, the packages have been sent to around 100 men and woman who will be in the Falkland Islands, Cyprus, the Middle East, Brunei, and Nigeria.  2 packages sent to RAF Police dog handlers also contain special treats for the military working dogs in their care.

The packages are co-ordinated by the Station Welfare Clerk, Mrs Jennese Bailie, and are funded by the Clifton Heights Welfare Facility.  This year Walkers kindly donated a free shortbread snack pack for everyone.

Jennese said:

“Being away from your family at any time can be tough, and Service personnel recognise this is a part of their job, but hopefully these Christmas packages will remind our personnel who are away from home at Christmas that we are thinking of them.”
