Group Captain Phil Marr recently handed over the role of Station Commander RAF Marham to Group Captain Fred Wigglesworth. The Change of Command took place through the morning mist with the traditional handover of the Station Bull at the Station Roundabout.
Gp Capt Wigglesworth said ‘A huge thanks to all at RAF Marham and the wider community for a warm welcome, I can’t wait to meet everyone. Together we’ll take our historic Station to the next level, upgrading the estate to serve our families, the Lightning Force and our supported units for decades to come.’
However, this is not goodbye to Gp Capt Marr as he moves onto another role at RAF Marham, Commander Lightning, responsible for the flying and flight safety elements of the Station.
Gp Capt Wigglesworth is our Head of Establishment, in command of the airfield and support elements of the Station.
