The Bright Horizons nursery on the Station takes children aged from 3 months to 5 years old.

Medical centre

The Station's Medical Centre is for Service Personnel and Families living in the vicinity of the Station.

Opening times: Monday and Tuesday - 8am to 5pm, Wednesday - 8am to 12pm, Thursday and Friday - 8am to 5pm.

SSAFA - The Armed Forces Charity

SSAFA Personal Support & Social Work Service RAF (PS&SWS RAF) is contracted by the RAF to provide welfare support to all serving personnel (regular and reserves) and their families. Our team of specialist Personal & Family Support Workers and Social Workers are located on stations in the RAF community throughout the UK.

Our service is confidential and independent from the Chain of Command. It is the aim of our service to support you to enhance personal welfare, maintain family stability and empower you to access the support networks you are entitled to.

Our service can support you with a range of issues including addiction & dependency, child support, financial, housing, mental health, personal support, physical health and relationships.

Anyone, regular, reserve or dependent, can refer themselves to SSAFA. You can contact our service by any of the ways below:

Church services and meetings

There are no regular services at RAF Northolt.

The Padre can arrange services for different faiths.

Sports

Station gym

The Station Gym is fully equipped with a healthy fitness suite, weights bay and deliver Fitness Classes routinely throughout the week (Mon–Fri). The gymnasium is a 24 hr facility that requires a deposit for a swipe card, allowing out of hours access.

Serving RAF Personnel, dependants and Civil Servants can join the Station Gym, but will need to complete relevant paperwork and pay for an annual subscription (to those of which apply) in order to use the facility. A Gym induction is to be attended to familiarise themselves with the facility and Health and Safety orders.

Sports pitches and courts

RAF Northolt has tennis courts, squash courts, a multi-purpose climbing wall and a 3G astro turf football pitch. These are for use by Service Personnel only. Further grass pitches consist of a Stn Football and Rugby Pitch.

Social

Bars and cafés

Bars and cafés on the Station are open to dependants of Service Personnel. You need to apply for a pass from the Main Guardroom if you want to use them unaccompanied by Service Personnel.

Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop in the Junior Ranks Mess is open to families of Service Personnel.

Opening times: Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm.

Sword and Wheel Club

The Sword and Wheel Club in the Junior Ranks Mess is open to the families of Airmen and Airwomen below the rank of Corporal.

Opening times: Monday to Friday - 7am to 11pm.

Children and young people

Airplay and Ben Club are run at RAF Northolt, contact the Community Development Officer for more information.
