The culmination of the RAF’s centenary celebrations involved a parade along the Mall and flypast over Buckingham Palace, involving over 100 RAF aircraft. Over the past 100 days, RAF Woodvale has been involved with numerous ceremonial engagements and wider events to mark the centenary.
The Lord Mayor of Liverpool honoured the Royal Air Force by raising the RAF ensign over Liverpool Town Hall on the 100th day. Flying Officer Alex Down and Officer Cadet Tom Measey from Liverpool University Air Squadron attended to represent RAF Woodvale and raise the ensign with the Lord Mayor.
