8 Force Protection Wing falls under Force Protection. They are responsible for the command and control of deployed Air Force Protection activity during contingency operations and prepares assigned capabilities in order to secure and defend RAF assets. Under its command is:
- 4 RAF Police (Typhoon) Squadron
- 5 RAF Police (ISTAR) Squadron
- 6 RAF Police (Lightning) Squadron
- 1 Tactical Police Squadron
- 2503 Squadron RAuxAF Regiment
- Defence Warning and Reporting Flight Operators
Each Squadron has a unique role, but they mutually support each other in the delivery of defence and security of the RAF, at home and overseas.
Location
