Designed and delivered by two members of the RAF Brize Norton Survival Equipment Section, Project VSERE created Virtual Survivr.

The system combines off-the-shelf gaming technology with the current Defence survival training syllabus to create a virtual environment for trainees to practice survive, evade, resist and extract techniques without having to deploy to the field.  The software enables the individual to use realistic communications equipment to send information and receive instructions and then move to a given rendezvous point for a virtual rescue.

In the future, the system could be used for additional elements of survival training, resulting in a more agile training system and better training for scenarios and environments that cannot easily be replicated live.
