THE UNIT

The Counter Intelligence and Security Squadron falls under the Specialist Police Wing.  They detect, identify and understand threats to Air capabilities from across all environments, throughout the continuum of conflict.  These multi-domain threat hunters enable the RAF to retain and sustain the information advantage against threats posed by Hostile Intelligence Services, or by individuals engaged in terrorism, espionage, sabotage, subversion, crime or other types of threats.

Counter Intelligence and Security Squadron also encompass Security Consultancy Flight which is established to enable the secure execution of Defence Tasks and Air’s priorities through the provision of security assurance, operational resilience and specialist security advice in support of Director of Security and Resilience and Air’s Senior Security Risk Coordinator.
