Service personnel's FAM success stories in 2021

Throughout this year, the Future Accommodation Model (FAM) team have been sharing the good news stories of personnel who have benefitted from the FAM pilot.

Since FAM launched in 2019 at HMNB Clyde, followed by Aldershot Garrison and RAF Wittering in 2020, the pilot has helped over 2,500 applicants experience the flexible accommodation approach that FAM offers.

To reflect some of the success stories, the team have pulled together a selection of clips from those personnel who have been helped by FAM. It shows the impact the pilot is having and the real difference it has made to personnel, partners, their families, and their lives. More about FAM

Through the FAM pilot the team have worked to create an accommodation offer that gives Service personnel more flexibility and choice over where, how and with whom they live.

FAM applies equally to personnel whether single, married, in a civil partnership, long term established relationship or parents who have their children over 80 nights per calendar year.

With FAM, those eligible can choose to live in Single Living Accommodation, Service Family Accommodation, in a private rental or buy their own home with support from the MOD.
