On Thursday 21st June 2018, the RAF Falcons spent the day entertaining thousands at The 134th Lincolnshire Show.
With their first display at the event cancelled, the Team were keen to put on a perfect performance for the final day of the Lincolnshire Show 2018. And that’s exactly what they did; as the parachutists descended through the skies above the showground, with thousands gathered around the main ring; watching and cheering for the Falcons as they got closer and closer.
For one of the RAF Falcons, this drop zone was a very familiar sight having grown up in Lincolnshire.
“Displaying at the Lincolnshire show was very special to me; having been born and raised there. Being able to perform in my hometown in front of a big crowd, including my friends and family is undoubtedly the highlight of my career.”
Corporal Chris West
First Year Falcon
“We were delighted to welcome the RAF Falcons to the 2018 Lincolnshire Show, especially as our theme for this year was to celebrate and commemorate RAF100. The team put on a fantastic display, with huge crowds watching in awe, as they landed in our Main Ring.”
Jayne Southall
Chief Executive Officer Lincolnshire Showground
The Team only have six more displays left for June 2018, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled as they could be displaying at an event near you!
