The RAF Falcons performed at the Tenth Annual, Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30th June 2018.
The national event in Llandudno, North Wales, was attended by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, representing The Queen and the Royal Family, the Prime Minister Theresa May and the Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson, along with other senior politicians.
“This display is the highlight for me this season, having the opportunity to display at The National Armed Forces Day in Llandudno, with an estimated crowd of 120,000 and jumping at the coast, it was an exciting event to jump into.”
Corporal Dominic Hodge
Second Year Falcon
Exiting from their Dornier 228 aircraft above the Northern coast of Wales, the Team really enjoyed putting on a fantastic display in Llandudno in front of members of the military family including veterans and young cadets.
The Team are approximately half way through their display season and this event is one of many special displays the team have in their calendar for this year’s season, displaying up and down the country; entertaining thousands of people along the way.
If you haven’t managed to see the Falcons yet, then don’t worry there is still time to catch them. Later on this month they will be at the Royal Welsh Show on the 24th and 25 July, the Sunderland airshow on 28th and 29th July and next month they will be displaying at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta on the 10th August. So make sure you come on down and say hello to the Team!
