On Saturday 29th June 2019, towns and cities across the UK marked Armed Forces Day; an annual event for the whole country to celebrate the work of service personnel, reservists, veterans, cadets and their families.
The RAF Falcons performed their stunning aerial display, dispatching from the aircraft at 8,000ft at this year’s National Event held in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Thousands of visitors took to the City to enjoy the RAF Falcons performance and other military displays, including a parade of nearly 1,500 service personnel, cadets and veterans; where Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, took the salute.
“We were honoured to be invited to display at this years Armed Forces Day event in Salisbury, the weather was fantastic and enabled us to perform our mid-show from 8,000ft which included an element of freefall. The Team really enjoyed the display and we felt exceptionally proud to represent the RAF on this occasion.”

Military musicians including bands from the RAF and Royal Marines entertained crowds throughout the day, the event concluded with a concert including a performance by the Kaiser Chiefs. Defence Secretary Penny Mordaunt also attended to watch the parade and meet servicemen and women.
“On Armed Forces Day we celebrate the exceptional contribution our service personnel, regular or reservist, veterans and their families make to our security and prosperity. The Armed Forces protect us and defend us around the world and serve communities throughout our country. With more than 300 events across the UK, it’s incredible to see people coming together to show their support for the Armed Forces.”
