RAF Boulmer hosted an opening ceremony for one of the Station’s Electrical Vehicle (EV) Charging Points. This centrally funded project provides 22kW chargers on our Main and Operations Sites in time for the increasing fleet of environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
Managed by VIVO for Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and AIR, this project is in line with the Greening Government Commitment which aims to have all government van and car fleets to be fully zero emissions at the tailpipe by 31st December 2027.
Station Commander, Wing Commander Charlotte Best cut the ribbon at the ceremony as she was joined by representatives from Mechanical Transport Flight, DIO and VIVO who were full of pride as the Station marks an important step towards ensuring we are looking after the environment we live in.
