II Squadron are Awarded the Higginson Trophy

The Station Commander, Group Captain Dan James MA MEng RAF, visited II Squadron RAF Regiment this week to personally congratulate them for winning the RAF Regiment Higginson Trophy for 2019. The Higginson Trophy is awarded annually to the most outstanding RAF Regiment Squadron. The winning Squadron must have been deemed to demonstrate exceptional leadership, outstanding professionalism and sustained endeavour on both operations and training. The winning Squadron must also have shown excellent support and engagement locally.

II Squadron are Awarded the Higginson Trophy

Squadron Leader Mark Bowden, Officer Commanding II Squadron, said:

"Receiving this award as the most outstanding Squadron across the Corps is something that all members of the Squadron are hugely proud of and provides the perfect recognition for the commitment, professionalism and sacrifices of my men, it is a success absolutely borne from their endeavours".
