Childcare

Quackers Breakfast and After School Club

Quackers have provided Wraparound care to the parents and children of Naphill & Walters Ash since 2019. Two clubs are in operation, one based at the school and one on 3 Site RAF High Wycombe. Both clubs provide breakfast from 7.30am and After School Childcare until 6.00pm.

Housing

The SCSO (Service Community Support Officer) at RAF High Wycombe is contracted by the RAF to provide advice and support to Service families in all aspects of housing, from allocations by Pinnacle, to longer term housing referrals/welfare support.

The Medical and Dental Centre on the Station is for  military personnel only. Dependants of personnel should register with a local GP and dental practice.

Who can get support? 

We’re here for the whole RAF family; for the person behind the uniform and their loved ones. You could be a regular or a reservist. A parent or partner. Living on the base or off it. If you need support for yourself or family support, we’ll help you in any way we can, any time you need us.  

Who are we? 

We’re a team of welfare officers and social workers, dedicated to helping the RAF community. Our service has been running since 1990, giving us over 30 years of expertise and experience. And we’re part of the wider SSAFA organisation, which is the oldest tri-service charity in the UK.

EXERCISE

FITNESS FACILITIES

The Station gym has a wide range of cardiovascular, strength, and functional training equipment. They hold fitness classes consisting of Circuit training, CrossFit, and Spinning.

The immediate family of RAF personnel can become members.

Access is strictly controlled by key fob entry only.

Social

Community and support facilities

The Station has a comprehensive range of facilities. If you have a view on how the Station could improve or increase the facilities available to personnel and their families please contact the Community Development Officer:

The bars and cafés on the station are open to all, including dependants of RAF personnel (except for Cafe 1, which is housed in Spitfire block). 

Cafe 1

Located on Site 1. Dependants are not permitted to use this cafe.

Cafe @3 – Station Coffee Shop

The Station coffee shop is for all the family. It is located on No 3 site, the entrance is to the right of the building through the car park.

The Station Coffee Shop incorporates a free soft play area (Little Lamb Busters). Cooked food is served until 2pm each day.

Opening times: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Smithies Bar

An All Ranks Bar.

Opening times: Monday to Thursday, 7pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday 5pm to 11pm. Closed on Sunday.

Community Police 

A Community Policeman is available on the unit to deal with all routine community enquiries. 

If you wish to talk to the Community Support Officer in relation to non-emergency matters, please contact them via the RAF Police during office hours on 01494 496721.

Routine community enquiries can also be discussed with the HIVE who may signpost you to the Community Police Officer.
