Learn more about grassroots innovations happening across the RAF and experience some of them first hand at the Astra Arena, located just outside the Techno Zone, at RIAT from Friday 14 - Sunday 16 July 2023.
From virtual reality to specialist drones, Astra is empowering intrapreneurs across the whole force to challenge the status quo and exploit their creative ideas. The Astra Arena will offer everyone the chance to see some of these innovations in action. There will be plenty to do as well, from coding with Appivate and the RAF Digital team to experiencing immersive virtual reality.
Visit the Air Climate Change and Sustainability area in the Astra Arena to take part in the treasure hunt as part of the Defence Aviation Net Zero Strategy. You'll be able to learn more about how the RAF is working with Defence and Industry Partners to address climate change and enhance our sustainability. The first 250 people to successfully complete the treasure hunt could win a prize.
