Service Complaints Ombudsman

The Service Complaints Ombudsman provides independent and impartial oversight of the handling of the Service complaints system.

The Ombudsman achieves this through three main functions; helping Service personnel access the complaints system, investigating complaints (such as undue delays or the substance of the complaint) and reporting to Parliament every year on how the process is working and any other matters she wishes to raise.
